Where Art Meets Science

Welcome to VEXR (Virtual Environments and Extended Realities). I have been creating computer generated virtual environments since 1990 when I wrote my first software for simulating light interreflection. At that time, a single image required several hours of rendering. Today we are on the cusp of real-time photorealistic virtual agents controlled by humans or AI populating persistent multi-user 3D virtual worlds, or what has recently gained popularity as the Metaverse.

My main interests are in creating more user friendly methods for interacting with virtual environments, applying XR technology to real-world problems and, in general, creating a more interactive internet or Web3.0.

This is a great area of research to be involved in. Especially, if you like a mix of science, technology and art.
